In November, Iskra was asked to create a screen printed reproduction of a painting by the late Mikey Welsh, a longtime collaborator and dear friend of the studio, for a memorial art show at The JDK Gallery / Maglianero in Burlington, VT. We happily obliged, of course. The original "Flowers" is a massive and colorful two-section piece painted on the back of two old wooden doors, with a signature "Mikey" color palette and flowing, dripping lines. Using the original as inspiration, we successfully created our first seven-color print, the most colors we've ever pulled on one print. We hope you enjoy this print as much as we did making it.

Printed by Iskra Print Collective in Burlington, Vermont and first made available for a special memorial gallery show, "Celebrating The Life and Art of Mikey Welsh", featuring a wide variety of Mikey's painting and sculpture work, both old and new. This reproduction is a 7-color screen print, which happens to be the most colors that Iskra has used on a single print in the span of their career. Iskra recently had the pleasure of being featured in Clay Hayes' "Gig Posters Volume 2" book. Volume 1 was fantastic so we were excited to see where Volume 2 would go.
